Project 1: Platformers

The platformer project teaches how to build a two-dimensional game using physics through the Unity Engine. This game is designed to teach you the basics of scripting in the C# programming language while focusing on the features provided by the Unity interface and Unity engine.

You will learn how to:

  • Acquire assets such as sounds, sprites (images), and animations.
  • Create a character that can run, jump, collide with objects, and be affected by gravity
  • Animate your character
  • Collide with triggers such as powerups, traps, and exit portals
  • Create and spawn enemies that follow patrol patterns
  • Build a user interface with buttons and texts
  • Add sound effects and music to your game
